Rental Apartments... A Disaster

Looking for rental apartments in Sydney is a huge pain in the bum!!!

Just today, John managed to get us a temporary 3/4 weeks accomodation for $800 per week. It is a 10 minutes walk from his office so I guess its not so bad... but I have to say, if he didn't call the agent today, we'd we stranded in North Sydney!!! We should have anticipated that the Mardi Gras would lead to all these places being completely booked out... Stoopid us!!!

Once that 3/4 weeks is over, then its time we move on to a more permanent place and over the last month or so, I've been visiting real estate websites and notice a trend of all the places that we want vanishing within hours of being posted online!!!

Worst still, this is not exactly the best time to go looking for a rental place in Sydney coz everyone is starting work about the same time... this means too much demand and not enough supply, leading to increased prices and damn stiff competition!!!

Anyway, thats it for now... back to work and gotta start packing again tonight!
